

Johnny was born on August 9, 1940, in Grady, Arkansas, to Isaac "I.B." Edwards and Elizabeth Cole Edwards. He is preceded in death by his parents Isaac "I.B." Edwards and Elizabeth Cole Edwards and wife: Mary T. Edwards.
Johnny was a dedicated engineer who began his career at Central Moloney in Pine Bluff at just 17 years old. Through hard work, commitment, and exceptional skill, he remained with the company until retiring at the age of 76.
He will be remembered as a loyal, hardworking, highly intelligent man who could also be wonderfully stubborn at times. Johnny was an avid gardener who took great pride in growing both beautiful flowers and fresh vegetables. He had a deep love for animals and especially enjoyed the companionship of his beloved cat. Johnny had a wonderful sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him, and above all, he cherished his family. His love, laughter, and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, five children, Ariania (Dan)Richter, Mike (Marie) Edwards, Todd (Lisa) Edwards, Sharon Braswell, and Greg (Valerie) Braswell; grandchildren: Christopher Richter; Connor Richter, Kirsten Adams, spouse: Justin Adams, Rebecca Pacoriek, spouse: Tony Pacoriek, Eric Michael Edwards, Justin Braswell, wife: Alexus Braswell, Jordan Braswell, wife Nicole Braswell; great grandchildren: Florence Adams, Robert Adams, Serenity Rose Edwards and Caden Michael Edwards, Alaina Braswell, Braxton Braswell and Hudson Braswell; brother: Charles Isaac Edwards; wife: Judy Edwards; sister: Mary Beth Ressler spouse: Edwin Anthony Ressler; nieces and nephew, Nathan Ressler, Leigh Anne and Jeff Edwards and many other relatives and friends.
Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in the many memories he leaves behind. Johnny’s presence was a steady and grounding force in the lives of those who loved him, and his absence will be deeply felt each and every day. He will forever remain in our hearts, remembered with love, gratitude, and enduring sorrow.
Visitation will take place Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR. A Celebration of life with follow with Father Jack Harris officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later time.
