

June Williams, 84, of Jacksonville passed away on Friday, June 3rd. Born in Longview, Texas on September 23, 1931 to parents Cliff and Nita Blankenship, she graduated high school at age 16 and went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in Louisiana at the age of 18.
June married the love of her life, Howard Williams on April 11, 1950 in Natchez, MS. In 1960 they moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas where she was employed as a 6th Grade school teacher at Jacksonville Elementary School for over 20 years. She served as a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Jacksonville Chapter #520 and as a Past Mother Advisor for the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
June loved to read, play piano, cook and sew clothing for her daughters. She also enjoyed reminding family of the rivalry between the Texas Longhorns and the Hogs. She was a very special wife, mother and grandmother.
June is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Vicki June Comstock and grandson, Ryan Howard Jones.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Howard Williams; daughters Anita Raines (Steven Cain) and Sandra Williams-Jones; brother, Chris (Corrada) Curry of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Stephanie (William) Dunn, Jessica (Chason) Bowman, Emily Comstock, Sean Cummins, Raymond Jones and Sara Jones; great-grandchildren Stephen Dunn, Mark Dunn, Caroline Bowman, Peyton Comstock and Brailee Comstock.
