Larry Evans, 81, of Searcy peacefully passed away on August 16 after an extended illness. Larry was born on August 12, 1940 to Solomae and Steve Evans. He grew up in North Little Rock and graduated from Catholic High School in 1958. Larry loved spending time with his girls and their families. He will be deeply missed.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents amd his aunt Sarah Daves. He is survived by his daughters Robin (Darwin) Huggins of Fayetteville, Georgia, Angie (Jay) Jordan of Searcy, and their mother Reba Evans. Other survivors are his grandchildren Drew (Mary Kathryn) Huggins of Griffin, Georgia, Grace Huggins of Atlanta, Georgia, Will Jordan and John Jordan of Searcy, his great grandsons Brooks and Aiden Huggins, his aunt Stella Cothran and numerous cousins.
A funeral Mass was offered at St. James Catholic Church in Searcy on Wednesday, August 19 at 10:30.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Catholic High School Foundation to fund need-based scholarships. Donations may be sent to the foundation at 6300 Fr. Tribou St., Little Rock, AR 72205.
