

Laura Nell Keelin, 82, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away on May 19, 2026. Born May 29, 1943, in Agusta Arkansas, Laura will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew and loved her.
For 27 years, Laura worked at Remington Arms in Lonoke, AR, where she crafted shotgun shells. Through steady dedication and hard work, she built a life defined by reliability, care for others, and pride in doing things well. Those who worked alongside her knew they could count on her loyalty and her thoughtful presence.
Laura was married to James Keelin for over 20 years. She was a devoted mother to three children, Robert Fowler, Richard Fowler, and Teresa Swan, and a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren and twelve great-grand children. Her family was the center of her world, and she approached that role with gentle compassion—creating a home where others felt welcomed, supported, and valued. She was preceded in death by her father Wilbur Boyd and mother Elizabeth Boyd.
In her quieter hours, Laura found enjoyment in fishing and hunting, and she especially treasured time spent with her family and many friends. Whether in the outdoors or at home, her calm strength and caring spirit left people feeling seen and cared for.
Laura’s legacy is one of love faithfully given—beloved as a wonderful mother, compassionate in her daily life, and devoted to keeping her homestead happy. She will be dearly missed and long remembered.
