Laverne Lee Walker

LaVerne Walker, a devoted mother, cherished educator, and pillar of her community, passed away at the age of 69 on October 24, 2024. Her loss leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her legacy of love, wisdom, and unwavering faith will endure forever.

Born October 21, 1955, LaVerne was the proud mother of two sons, Delvin and Darius, whom she loved dearly and raised with patience, discipline, and warmth. Her commitment to their well-being and success was evident in every aspect of her life. As a mother, she was not only a guide and protector but also a constant source of encouragement and strength.

LaVerne’s dedication to education was unmatched. She devoted her career to teaching and mentoring, shaping the lives of countless students over the years. Whether she was teaching in the classroom or guiding others outside of it, LaVerne had a unique ability to inspire those around her with her intellect, kindness, and tireless work ethic. Her students admired her not only for her wisdom but for her deep care and belief in their potential.

Lavernes, family and friends will remember for the lessons she taught them, the love she gave freely, and the examples she set in every facet of her life. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and wisdom.

A celebration of LaVerne’s life will be held on December 14, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
