

Our beloved LAWRENCE EDWARD ARLEDGE, 82, of Sherwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 11, 2026. Born on July 22,1943 in Attalla, Alabama, he was the son of Arnold and Stella (Nelson) Arledge. His family and friends called him Ed. Ed lived his life anchored by hard work, kindness, and deep love for his family. He went on to build a meaningful career as a Sheet Metal fabricator where he was known for his masterful skills. Beyond his work, he loved building Hot Rods, spending weekends by the lake, watching afternoon soap operas, helping others, and could fix anything. His life was marked by his generosity, loyalty, wise advice and his positive outlook. Above all, Ed was a devoted family man who loved doing adventures with them and will leave a legacy of love and wisdom that his family will carry forward.
He is survived by his loving partner of 23 years, Phyllis Browning; his daughters Donna (Richard) Arledge-Segelken of Georgia and Amy (Robert) Robillard of Florida, siblings James (Betty) Arledge of AL and Joy (Ron) McAtee of MI, and his bonus daughters Sandy (Eddie) Riggs of Greenbriar, AR, Candy (Frank) Jackson of Beebe, AR, Cindy (Jason) Shumard of Ward, AR, and grandkids Christina Robillard, Brenna Johnson, and Seth Robillard of FL, KD (Dave) Calhoun of WV, Audra (Ben) Turner of TX, Kayla (Andrew) Coe of Maumelle, AR, Justin Jackson of GA, Bryant (Savannah) Leidy of SC, Garrett Leidy of Ward, AR, and twelve great-grandkids and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Father and brother, Dale Arledge.
A celebration of Ed’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills at 7724 Landers Rd, North Little Rock, AR, 72117. Family and friends are invited to gather to share their favorite memories. Classic cars are encouraged.
