

Marnette Branch Ragon, age 90, of Bryant Arkansas, passed away Tuesday August 24, 2021. She was born on December 6th 1930, in Little Rock Arkansas, to parents Oscar and Hazel Branch. Early in life Marnette developed a love for education. She graduated from Little Rock High School in May of 1948. She furthered her education at LR Junior College and finished at what is now UCA in Conway in January of 1952 with a Masters in Education. Marnette worked for many years in this field eventually retiring from the North Little Rock Special School District.
Marnette married William Alfred Ragon Jr. on August 25th 1954 in North Little Rock Arkansas. She was a member of Pinnacle Church of Christ. She was a member of American Legion and United Commercial Travelers among many other organizations. She was also very involved in numerous community outreach and charity programs that were dear to her heart such as the local Food Bank, UAMS Family Home, and River City Ministries.
Marnette loved to spend time with her family. She would go to ballgames, have family picnics, bake goodies, and make rice crispy treats with them. The family loved it when they would hear her say “I love you to the moon and back.” She also loved to travel and go on cruises with her beloved Bill.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Bill Ragon, her parents, her brother James Roy Branch, and her sister Sarah Patricia (Pat) Branch.
Those left to cherish her memory include; daughters Kim Colclasure and her husband, Larry, of Benton and Brenda Youngblood and her husband, Dickie, of Benton, and her grandchildren Chris & Misty Colclasure, Blake & Cristen Colclasure, Heather Hilterbrand, Ashlee & Alonzo Kelley and Hunter & Milissa Hilterbrand and great-grandchildren Austen, Nate, Claire, Natalie, Aaren, Bentley, Kinlee, & Connor.

A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00pm on Saturday August 28th 2021 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Rd., NLR followed by funeral services at the funeral home beginning at 1:00pm. Bro. John Phillips Jr will be officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
