

Born on Christmas Day, she was raised in the Park Hill neighborhood of North Little Rock, where she cherished the memories of her childhood years. She graduated from North Little Rock High School, where she played saxophone in the band, and went on to attend Arkansas State Teachers College (UCA).
She started her career at Southwestern Bell, where she was proud to become the first female engineering assistant. She married in 1963 and devoted herself to raising her two daughters, Marcy and Cindy, instilling in them a fierce sense of independence and confidence to chart their own paths. As her daughters grew, she found fulfillment through her work in home decorating and bookkeeping.
She enjoyed dancing, had a curiosity about science & astronomy, cheering the Razorbacks, and attending Travelers games. She loved animals especially cats, and her pets were dear to her. She will be remembered for her sharp wit, independent spirit, and love for family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Georgia Busick; her sister, Sharon Patton; and her brother, Mike Busick. She is survived by her daughters, Marcy Lewis and Cindy Lewis Halloran (John); her grandchildren, Alex and Ellie Halloran, her great-granddaughter, Margot, and nephew Matt Patton..
A Graveside Service will be held at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR, 72117 on Thursday April 23 , 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
