She was born on December 18, 1937, in Union County Arkansas to the late Roy and Annie Lee (Sellers) Smith.
Annette worked two full-time jobs as a PBX operator for the State Hospital and Children's Hospital. She loved fishing, her grandchildren, and helping others. She lived a life of selflessness. She also made the best cornbread(no sugar), coconut, pecan and chocolate pies. She was a follower of Jesus and though going to church had become difficult, she continued to read the word and listen to sermons on TV.
