Melvin Farris Mobbs, 85, passed away May 3, 2026, at his home in North Little Rock, AR. He was born in Little Rock, AR to Farris and Floy Mobbs. He had a career as a civil engineer and owned his own business, Mobbs Development. Melvin lived his best life. He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America and raced all over the United States. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, he could be seen riding aroung town on his Harley, traveling all over hauling his BMW motorcycle when the weather was warm to Russellville, AR to ride through the beautiful Ozark mountains, or hauling his dirt bike to the beach and riding on the sand. He was always on the road hauling a motorcycle and camping up until the day his passed away at 85 years young.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Shirley Mobbs.
He is survived by two children, Kyle (Janet) Mobbs, and Amber (Rick) Morgan; grandchildren, Hunter (Angie) Mobbs, Jake Morgan Kayli (Mark) Richardson; and one sister, Martha Storandt.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock, AR
