Michael ""Mike"" George Pafundi

Michael George Pafundi, age 75, of Sherwood Arkansas passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 22, 2019. Michael “Mike” was born February 6, 1944, in Ventura California to Michael Pafundi and Jeannie Cunningham.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Pafundi and Jeannie Cunningham. He is survived by his sister Carrie (husband Larry) Smith, niece Jennifer Harrison, great-nephew Blake Harrison, his aunt Jonelle McDaniel, numerous cousins, relatives, dear friends, and a very special friend that he considered his adopted daughter Lisa Frazier.

Michael had a passionate love for poetry and journalism. He was an active member of the Poets’ Roundtable of Arkansas and had many poems and editorials published in numerous newspapers around the state. He wrote passionately about that in which he believed.

He was very devoted to his family. After his stepfather passed away, he returned home from college and gave up his scholarship to take care of his mother and to help raise his little sister. He always put other people’s needs before his own. He was a devoted employee; He worked at various automobile dealerships for fifty-four years retiring at Mark McLarty Ford in 2018. After retirement from the automotive industry, he went to work for Kroger until the time he passed away

Michael touched the lives of all he came into contact with and will be deeply missed on this earth.
