Myrtle attended highschool, and throughout her life she carried herself with a quiet wisdom and a steady thoughtfulness that made others feel seen and cared for. In the many ordinary moments that truly shape a family, she was a gentle presence—compassionate in spirit, kind-hearted in word and deed, and deeply beloved by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A devoted homemaker, Myrtle built her days around care for others, offering a calm strength and a gracious steadiness that anchored her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stell; her son, Gerald Stell; her daughter, Debra Holmes; and her grand-son-in law, Kenny Fox.
Myrtle’s love of music and creativity brought warmth to her home and to those around her. She loved playing piano and found joy in music, sewing, baking, and reading. In her younger years, she also enjoyed hunting—an early reflection of her capable, grounded nature and her willingness to meet life with quiet resolve.
Her faith was an enduring part of her life, and she was a member of Kellogg Valley Baptist Church.
Myrtle is survived by her grandchild, Jennifer Fox; her great granchildren, Brian Sikes, Rebecca Fox, and Skye Fox; and her great great granddaughter, Hazel Fox.
