Norma Jean Harvey

Norma Jean Harvey, age 87, of North Little Rock, passed away July 9, 2019. She was born September 11, 1931, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, to Walter and Flossie Cummings. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray C. Harvey, Sr., and three brothers, Norman Cummings, Wesley Cummings and Herman Cummings. Norma was an accountant and enjoyed hiking. She was a member of Levy Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Ray C. Harvey, Jr. and wife Julia of North Little Rock and Joseph P. Harvey and wife Beverly of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Megan Burgeis (Charlie) of Monticello, Jacob Harvey (Lindsay) of North Little Rock, Zach Harvey (Lena) of North Little Rock, and Joseph Harvey of North Carolina; nine great-grandchildren, Mallory Burgeis and Brody Burgeis of Monticello, Presley Harvey, Lilly Jean Harvey, Cantley Harvey, Wyatt Harvey, and Sutton Harvey, all of North Little Rock, Ryan Harvey and Sadie Harvey of Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, July 12, at 9:00 a.m. with services at 10:00 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Jean was so beautiful on the inside and out! She loved my family like we were her own and we all cared so deeply about her. She was like a 2nd mom to me and filled my life with so many precious memories and words of wisdom. Jean will be missed very much. I’m grateful to have loved and been loved by her.

Jean was such a precious woman. My family was blessed to know her for several years. My parents and our family enjoyed spending time with Jean. My father passed away last year at the age of 70. God Bless you guys. It’s tough.
