Pam was born at Fort Benjamin, Indiana, to Joseph and Mary Casanova, who preceded her in death. She built a life rooted in dedication, compassion, and deep love for those around her.
Pam spent many years working as a commercial insurance underwriter, where she was widely respected for her expertise, professionalism, and work ethic. Over the course of her career, she earned several designations such as The Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Professional Insurance Advisor, and was awarded the prestigious Underwriter of the Year Award and the Women in Insurance Award, all of which are achievements she was proud of, though she remained characteristically humble about them.
Above all else, Pam cherished her family. She was a devoted mother to her son, Justin Higgs, and a loving mother-in-law to Kaitlyn Higgs. Her greatest joy was being “Grammy” to Harper Higgs, Hatcher Higgs, and Pearson Bradley, each of whom held a very special place in her heart.
Pam is also survived by her siblings, Mike Casanova and Patti Casanova.
Those who knew Pam knew her as someone with a generous heart. She loved traveling, baking for the people she cared about, and spending time with family. She was deeply passionate about animals and rescued multiple cats and dogs throughout her life, offering them the same love and care she so freely gave others.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 13, 2026 at 11am, with an open visitation beginning at 10am at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in Sherwood, Arkansas.
Pamela Ann Higgs will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication, her love of family, and her unwavering compassion for people and animals alike. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to be felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
