Rich "Rick" Vincent Hall

May 16, 1967November 6, 2021

Rich (Rick) Vincent Hall was born on May 16th, 1967 and is preceded in death by his father Jerry Hall and his niece Tayloré Elizabeth Hall. Beloved son, brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin, friend and partner, Rick passed away Saturday, November 6th while spending an evening with his mother, Lizabeth Sue Hall. Rick was a graduate of Sylvan Hills High School (85). He was employed by Bank OZK and worked as their HR/Staffing associate. A faithful member of the Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church, Rick loved serving the church and regularly read the liturgy, one of his favorite ways to serve. He was generous with his time and volunteered with many service organizations including the American Heart Association, Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce Ambassador program (serving as chair in 2015) and Friendly Chapel.

Rick loved life, there was not much he would not try, (including skydiving on his 40th birthday). Whether it was dancing, traveling, cooking, or spoiling his family and friends, that passion spilled over into to everything he did. No one gave a better hug than Rick, it was his signature greeting. Everyone will tell you Rick’s laugh and his smile were infectious. He treasured his nieces and nephews and never missed a chance to spoil them. Aside from family there were many people Rick cherished. He loved Belle and Jones McKelvey, his “core four” tribe Dennis McKelvey (Erin), Kimberly Shaw and Bobby Harris, his lifelong Park Avenue friend Kayla Winters Phillips, Larry West, Jr., Michael Smothers, Brian Hieber, Karla Sloan, and Marissa Willis.

Rick is survived by his mother Lizbeth Sue Hall, Sherwood, AR; Sisters Amanda Hall McGennis and her husband Bob McGennis, Phoenix, AZ, Cynthia Hall Stark and her husband William Andy Stark, Little Rock, AR; his brother James Preston Hall and his wife Lisa Pinkston; North Little Rock, AR ; Niece Celeste Lacy, Pearsall, TX; nephew Lt Cmdr. Calvin Andrew Stark and his wife Danna Jo Stark, Hanford, CA; nephew Jacob Preston Hall, North Little Rock, AR, great nephew William Joshua Stark and numerous friends. Our lives are forever touched by Rick’s love.

The church will open at noon prior to the service on 11/13 to receive flowers.

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
The past 30 years of LOVE, and FRIENDSHIP will forever be in my heart. Your charm, and smile knocked me off my socks. I remember our meeting vividly at Wearabout The Factory. Even on our last recent visit in October. You still had that away of bringing that to our relationship after all these years. We will always have “How Do I Live” the Leanne Rimes version of course, and “Hello” by Adele that we shared as how deep our feelings ran at times. Your sweet term of endearment by calling me “Pumpkin”, and the love for your family. Especially your mother. Were just a couple of the authentic qualities that speaks volumes of the man you are! Goodbye for now ❤️

To say this is a gut punch is the understatement of all times. You have been my best friend for over 51 years. The GI Joe to my Barbie, the Clyde to my Bonnie, Uncle Rick to Lauren and Drew, and the best friend a girl could ever have. I will never dance the pretzel again or listen to Tom Jones “She’s A Lady”. The world is certainly dimmer without your beautiful light. I love you. Rest in love Rick the V. 💔

I was blessed to work with Rick and get to know him. He was the light in a very fast paced work environment, he always took the time to ask you how your day was going. Rick built relationships with everyone he worked with and that takes a very kind and caring person. I am better because of him.

Rick was loved by so many and he in turn loved so many of us. He was always a light at every party and he entertained us all by shining so bright for everyone. Bless his family and dear friends that are mourning this loss. May the great memories we all shared comfort us during this difficult time. RIP Rick, you will be greatly missed!!

I am so deeply saddened to hear of Rick’s passing. I had the pleasure of getting to know him through work and it would be hard to find a kinder, gentler, friendlier soul.
I am going to miss his electrifying smile, his positive attitude and his loving family and friend posts on social media.
RIP Rick 🤩💫🌟

Rick was a friend of my sister, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t my friend too. He was an exemplary person, and I’ll miss his posts of him and his husband. They were a great pair. Last time I saw Rick was at my father’s memorial service. Thanks for being there Rick. You made it just a little better with your presence..

I went to Jr High and High School with Rick. I have such great memories of hanging out at the skating rink and school. He was always the life of the party and was so funny. I havent seen Rick since high school, however thanks to Facebook we've kept up. He would always send me a Happy Birthday and I would do the same. I have read so many wonderful stories and memories from his grown up life and I know he was just as infectious as when we were kids. He was a special person and will be missed. You and your dear family are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in love Rick ❤
