I have so many childhood memories of Vaughn and have heard so many stories attributed to Vaughn, Bill Terry, John Terry and John Douglas Sr ( my dad). Most of these stories have a very important point of what to do or what not to do, mostly the latter. My thoughts and prayers are with Sharon, Rob and family during this time of loss.

I’ve known Vaughn, basically, my whole life. We went to the same schools; lived in the same neighborhood; played together some, along with my brother and others; got into some mischief together; hunted together, with my brother and others; even worked for the same Federal Agency for a while. We didn’t always agree about everything but, we never had a bad disagreement. No matter what, Vaughn was always a good friend, you could count on that, I could count on that. Even though we haven’t seen each other regularly over the last few years, just knowing that he’s gone, I’ll miss him.

Sharon & family, no words can describe the sadness we feel. Vaughn has been a part of our lives since we were young teens. Through good times and bad he was there. We will miss him terribly, he will always be with us. He is no longer in pain and is walking with the Lord. Prayers to you and your family.

We helped each other through many many things but I could not save him from this. Vaughn was my Best Friend, a large part of me went with him I am truly grateful to have been and have had him as my FRIEND. I am sure he will save a place for me.
