Born in Little Rock to the late Mildred and Joe Gilbert, Tammy was a devoted mother and an inspiring figure of faith and kindness. After dedicating many years to raising her children, Tammy pursued her passion for nursing, earning an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 1994. Her unwavering faith in Christ was the cornerstone of her life; she spent countless hours sharing scripture, songs, and encouragement, helping others understand and apply the teachings of the Bible to their daily lives.
Tammy was also known for her vibrant spirit and love of life. As she grew older, she found joy in dancing and became an enthusiastic member of a traveling ballroom dance group. Her culinary talents were equally renowned; Tammy delighted in preparing homecooked meals, using her cooking as a heartfelt expression of love for family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by her son, Tim Roses. She is survived by her two daughters, Rochele Roses and Michele Stearns (husband Chip Stearns), both of Little Rock; her granddaughters, Brittany Flippo (husband Casey Flippo) and Channing Roses; and her grandsons, Parker Stearns, Barrett Stearns, Cameron Walden, Blake Roses, Hayden Roses (wife Taylor Roses), and Cole Roses (wife Lauren Roses). Tammy also leaves behind great-granddaughters Elsie Mae Roses, Nora Roses, and Holland Rose Flippo, as well as her niece Heather Mathis.
A visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home at 10:00 am, with the memorial service following at 11:00 am on Friday, September 13, 2024.
