Valerie Belinda Linker

August 13, 1972June 27, 2020

Valerie Belinda Linker, 47, of North Little Rock passed away Friday, June 27, 2020 after a short illness. She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on August 13, 1972 to her parents Charles L. and Sherry Smith.

All who knew Valerie will never forget her wit, charm, grace and her sense of humor. She was a strong willed woman and a fierce Mama Bear. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. Valerie was a spit fire and a “take charge” person. She was the type of person that already had the ball and running with it when other people were looking around wondering what to do. Valerie was a loving wife to Jeff, devoted mother, cherished daughter and sister and most importantly, she was Jeff’s best friend.

Valerie is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Jeff Linker; children, Charles Daulton Linker and Sloan Campbell Linker; parents, Charles L. and Sherry B. Smith; brother, Joshua Alan Smith; nephews Cash Smith, Carter Smith and Bonham Smith; grandmother, Betty Schaller and uncle, Walter Carey Schaller.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, July 2nd in Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock with a visitation beginning at 9:30 am. Tommy Kidd, Jr. will officiate. Please sign the online guestbook at

I was very sad to hear of Valerie’s passing. For the short time I worked at Party Time rental and events, Valerie was most helpful with training me on the ins and outs of the business. My deepest condolences to her family. xoxo

Robert and I were so saddened to hear about Val's death. Val always had a kind word for us and we could tell she was a whirlwind of energy taking care of her family, all the family. It is very heartwarming to live on the same street with four generations of the same family. My heart hurts for Sherry, Charlie, Jeff and the boys and all of Val's family. Please know we are sending you prayers for strength and peace. God Bless.

Valerie was one of the firsts to befriend me when Madi and I first came to Levy church of Christ in 2013. Bottom floor, far left set of pews at the wall, was our section. :) Her and Jeff both were very kind and loving to us. I loved her wit and her ability to make me feel at ease. She probably never knew just how much her hugs soothed my anxieties just as needed. I will miss her beautiful welcoming smile and hugs.

Praying for peace and comfort for the boys and Jeff. With Love, Stephanie & Madisyn Sallas

I first met Valerie at 6th & Izard Church of Christ and we stayed connected through social media and our mutual love of theatre. Valerie reached out to me and provided encouragement during some tough times over the years. I was always impressed with her ability to see my struggles and to know exactly what I needed to hear. She truly had a gift for loving people. You are all in my prayers.
