Wanda Lanell House went to be with her Lord around noon on October 20th at the age of 85. She was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt. She loved the Lord and loved his church. She was a member at the Somers Avenue Church of Christ (in its various locations) all her life. She served as a faithful member, a Bible class teacher, and in later years loved being part of the ladies class.
Although Wanda never married, she was like a second mother to her nephews and a second grandmother to her great nieces and nephews. She was an avid Razorback fan and shared a special love for the St. Louis Cardinals with her father and her nephew, Jeff.
She worked for 40 years with Pulaski County Cooperative Extension Service serving as a clerical worker and office supervisor. After she retired, she spent several years volunteering as the bookkeeper for the Silver City Church.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, W.L. and Ida House and her sister, Juanita Sublett (Vernon). She is survived by her three nephews, Jeff, Rick, and Greg Sublett, three generations of nieces and nephews, and a dear cousin, Jerry Johnson (Gloria).
In lieu of flowers, Wanda asked that donations be made to the Silver City Church Mentoring Program, PO Box 393, North Little Rock, AR 72115.
