Wayne Vaughn, age 84, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Wayne was born July 18, 1936 in West Point, Arkansas in White County to parents Arthur "Pete" Vaughn and Leona Pryor Vaughn.
Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from the Rail Road after many years of working for both Missouri Pacific and Union Pacific, working as a Signal Man until his retirement. He loved working for the railroad and he also loved to go deer hunting every season. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; son, Harry Wayne Vaughn; brother Wesley Vaughn and sisters Agnes "Sis" and Doris. Wayne is survived by his daughter, Patti Gail Vaughn Homsley of Higginson; brother, Harold Keith Vaughn of Jacksonville, eight grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: L. D. Vaughn, Layne Vaughn, Elvis Vaughn, Helen Benton all of West Point and Joyce Bates of Missouri.
