Buddy started life in Little Rock, Arkansas spending lots of time with his grandparents and dog “Curly”. In his teenage years he joined the Navy and served 2 years in the Vietnam War. He made a career in working as a manager of Warehouse Liquor.
He was born on December 29, 1947, in Little Rock, Arkansas. His is preceded in death by his parents William E. Kniep Sr. and Ruby "Estell" Joshlin; sisters Margaret Torres and Aubrey “Dean” Phelps: sister-in-law Rose Carroll; and brother David "Wayne" Joshlin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley Kniep, three daughters; Kathy Kniep-Flowers (James), Juliana Kniep, Tiffany Kniep and son William “Billy” Kniep III; four grand-daughters; Kandace Kniep "Blue", Hayley Ferguson, Abby (Cameron) Hataway, and Ally Shelnut; Cat- Maggie; nephews and nieces: and extended family and friends.
Viewing and family hours will be Wednesday September 16, 2026 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Rest Hills Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR. 72117.
