

Winifred Stiede Monroe, 86, went to be with Christ Jesus on February 19, 2018. She was born June 19, 1931, in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Archie and Dorothy Stiede. She graduated from high-school in Michigan, attended Salem College in West Virginia and graduated from University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a homemaker and worked as a substitute teacher for North Little Rock schools. Berwin and Winifred Monroe were united in marriage on September 4, 1954. She is most remembered for her faithfulness to God, church and family. She was involved in starting, and attended the L.R. Seventh Day Baptist Church until her infirmities prohibited her attendance months before passing.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Donna) Monroe and their children Joshua (Dawna) Monroe, daughter Nikita; Rachel (Don) Delong, sons Jason, Mark and Liam; Benjamin (Brittany) Monroe, children Jacob and Lillian; Seth (Sara) Monroe; Timothy (Emily) Monroe, daughters Sadie, Ella and Josie; Caleb (Nikki) Monroe, children Katelyn, Annabelle and Matthew; Gabriel (Kayleigh) Monroe, son Elijah; Joseph Monroe; Sarah Monroe; and Susanna Monroe. Daughter, Cheryl (Dale) Hinson and their children Brandon (Chrissy) Hinson; Amanda (Zachary) Hoyt sons Hayden and Logan. Son Galen Monroe. Son Kerry (Marla) Monroe and their daughters Camillia (Kyle) Estes, daughter Kyla; Meagan (Ryan) Romano. Her sister Dotty (Nick) Nimchuk
She was preceded in death by her parents Archie (Dorothy) Stiede, her husband Berwin Monroe, sisters Emma Hilyard and Evelyn Wilson and Grandson Josiah Monroe (son of Jeffrey & Donna).
In celebration of her life, a viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2018, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, NLR, AR 72117.
