I miss you so much Dr. Garami. I learned so much while working for you the 7 years I worked with you.  You are truly missed and will always be a part of my heart.

I was traveling and sadly missed the original message of Dr. Garami’s passing. I fondly remember my visits as her patient. Her manner of care and sense of humor will remain with me always. 

I started as her patient but soon she turned into our friend. I shared with her our concern about my brother who suffered from lung cancer and from that point on every time we saw her she immediately wanted to know the status of my brother. She was a beautiful human being and we miss her a lot.

Dr. Garami entered my life in 2003 when I had a heart attack. She was my cardiologist for  most of the years since then.  She was a blessing in my life and I am sure a blessing to so many others throughout her career.  I will remember her humor and feistiness and dedication.    

Dear Mr. Garami - My wife just informed 15 minutes ago that the best Cardiologist who saved my life in 2010 had passed away!
What a terrible shock!! She was my wife’s doctor who suffers from  a severe case of A-Fib. 
Agnes treated her like a sister and was always worried about her medication being too strong for her. I remember when Maria brought Agnes an Orchid that she loved very much!

When I had Pins & Needles in my left shoulder while in New York in 2010 coming out of the subway, I went to see her once in Miami. She said everything looked fine but if I wanted to know why I was getting Pins & Needles I could have a Cautherization.
When the insurance company refused to approve the procedure since I had no history of heart disease, she had a melt down!
She said “I’m not going to let an insurance company tell me how to treat my patients!!

She told me to go to the ER  They found I had a “Widow Maker” at 95% blockage in an artery going to the heart and another one at 65%.

The next morning the doctor making the rounds said - “You are a very lucky man! Most people din!t survive a Widow-Maker!”

My wife  is devastated and we will miss Dr. Garami tremendously! Our Guardian Angel is gone. We believe she is in a better place where she will be loved!

We are heartbroken hearing the news of Annes passing. As you know she was more than our doctor of 45 years. She was family. I still remember as she stayed with us during hurricane Andrew sleeping in our daughters car bed with My daughter and the 125 unicorns and ponies surrounding her and the rainbow wallpaper she said made her loopy . She was there with me during both my children's births and I remember how we had dinner at 3am after my daughter's birth. She has been there with me as I struggled with. cancer and has been there every step of the way with my long fight of health issues. She saved both my and my husband's lives numerous occasions. My husband Dennisand I  have considered her our sister . Bill Yahr and Anne were extended family to us. May the both rest in peace. I can just hear them cutting up and laughing together now. Words cannot say how much we will miss her. She was our doctor and my children's doctor and our family and will be missed tremendously. Living in Broward we did not get word in time to pay our respects but will do so at her final resting place. George We know how much you meant to each other and our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to you. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed every day.

Knowing your gone is not getting easier. I think it is getting harder. I hope george will call soon. I’m looking at all our vacation pictures to cancun, colorado,Arkansas ,  disney etc. You were officially one of Las muchachitas, you were so proud of that. I dont think you truly knew how many people loved you. I hope you know it now. We shared so much and I always felt safe knowing you were my dr. . Yesterday I picked up the phone to text or call you three different times. This can’t be happening. Neither you or I could handle loosing love ones. I hope your doggie comes live with me.

Dr garami, you were the first doci ever worked for. You were a damn good one too. I remember all the fun times i had being your friend and your MA. I still cant believe you are gone. It broke my heart. I still have everything you ever gave me as presents just for keepsake. I will miss hearing texting you and telling you how far i have gone. You will always be my Dr G.

There are no words to express my sympathy to the family of Dr. Garami.  

I was supposed to have my quarterly visit with her today. (Jan 10th). Her office called me yesterday and gave me the shocking news.   I am still so sad to hear of her passing that I came to this site to read what people have written about her to get some solace.

She was the most caring doctor I ever had in my life. I enjoyed every moment in her presence.  There was always chaos around her but when she entered the examination room,  her time was all mine.

She absolutely adored my dog, Scooby. When we entered her office it was like the lights were turned on in her eyes. All of the stress of her day melted. She would feed him dog treats that I brought with me  and then admonish me for giving him too many snacks.

When Scooby was killed in June of 2017, she cried with me over him and insisted that I get another dog. She was adamant that he was part of my well-being! When I decided to get Tommy, she was over the moon with joy!

Dr. Garami was the kind of doctor that every patient wishes for.  She was brilliant,  she truly cared, she fought for me, she stood by me, she did her own research and made sure that my insurance company was called to task for their shortcomings.

She was a wonderful addition to my ongoing healthcare.  I will miss her terribly.

An enormous loss. A special talent with deep commitment to every patient! A superb doctor...she will be sorely missed...and fondly remembered. We just learned of her passing today...while scheduling an annual checkup. Our great condolences and best wishes to the family.

George , I am so sorry to just hear about Annie’s passing. I will miss her very very much and am so saddened by this news.  My deepest sympathy to you. She was a great doctor,  sister and friend to many.  All my love to you at this difficult time. 

Dr. Garami was not just my cardiologist, she was a dear friend. We were fortunate to have known her for several years and that gave us the opportunity to experience her warmth and kindness. She became aware of the fact that my brother had suffered a severe disease and every time we saw her she wanted to know first how he was doing.  We always looked forward to coming to her office because it was an encounter full of warmth and friendship. Her untimely departure leaves a profound void; her memory will always be with us.

This was a total shock when our family found out. I had just shared several emails back and forth 2 weeks before. She was a doctor to many in our family, but also a  friend.  I really can't believe this is real.  She will be missed by so many people. Our family included. 

Dr Garami was friend and cardiologist to myself, my daughter and my now 93 year old mother.  She helped me through some personal family issues and was the most wonderful doctor and woman I may ever meet. 

She joined my family for my moms 90th birthday party. We will all miss her so much.

Dr. Garami was my cardiologist, but more importantly, my husband's.  She was instrumental in guiding him to a lifesaving surgical cure for a daunting cardiac issue, for which we're both forever grateful.  She was also a joy to have as a friend - always bubbly and full of great stories. On one occasion, when we had her over to our tiny South Beach home for dinner, I shot this picture of her holding an Emmy of mine - which she couldn't wait to do.  We miss her deeply already.  We hope her precious doggie has found a loving home. Sending  condolences to her family and host of patients and friends.

I was a patient of Dr. Garami's for almost ten years.  She played a key role in saving my life.  But she was more than just my cardiologist; she became a friend to me and my spouse Robert.   She shared with me many of the details of her life in Europe and in NY.   She was as happy as I am to be living in South Florida.  Robert and I once had her over to our apartment in South Beach for dinner, and she had us roaring with laughter.  We fantasized about taking a cruise together from San Francisco to Sydney, Australia, something "Anne" was keen to do.  My last appointment with her was less than two months ago, and she was in good spirits--freely dispensing advice, medical and otherwise.  I feel cheated by not being able to say "good-bye."  Had we known about this sooner, Robert and I would definitely have been at the funeral.   Thank you to her family for sharing her with the rest of us.

Dr. Auntie G was not just a healer - she was an unstoppable force who radiated love, humor, and no nonsense. She saved my grandmother and gave her 8 years longer than anyone believed. But more than that,  she became family to us. We were her shmendrick and shmendrina, and we did not have enough time with her. Missing her terribly. 

I am a patient of Dr. Garami, I am saddened by her passing.  Please accept my heartfelt condolences. She was an amazing person.  Agnes was the the best cardiologist, she was compassionate, feisty and her patients always came first.  I loved how she knew my history without looking in my chart.  We were close because we were both fighting life threatening illnesses, but kept a positive attitude.  We were together a few weeks ago, she was laughing, happy and gave me a big kiss and a hug, as I was about to journey to Thailand.  We were alike in many ways, loving life but living on thin ice the last two years.  I will miss her dearly. 

Dr. Garami literally saved my life in 2011. I loved and respected her and am devastated by such a loss. I take comfort in knowing wherever her journey continues, she will blessed having given so much to us all. You will be missed. With my deepest sympathies for her family, friends and patients,
