Angela passed away peacefully Tuesday January 14th, 2020 after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born November 25th, 1959 in a small town outside of Palermo, Sicily named Carini. As a young child she moved to the United States with her family. She later earned her undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, NY, and continued her studies in education at Kings College, Wilkes Barre, PA. She later earned two master’s degrees, one in Spanish Literature at Florida International University, Miami FL., and one in Italian Language Education at the University of Perugia, Italy. Angela was a scholar of languages and spoke 5 languages fluently. She was also a novice historian especially early western civilization. She enjoyed traveling and thus traveled throughout the United States and internationally. She presented on several occasions her research both nationally and internationally. She loved animals and was outspoken on their defense. She found much joy with her dog Bacetto who brought her so much stress relief. Angela would prefer you donate to an animal shelter in her name rather than sending flowers.
Angela is survived by her loving husband Stephen Edward Bronsburg of Pembroke Pines, FL., her mother Vittoria Randazzo of Marco Island, FL., and brother Paul Sgroi of Dallas, PA. Funeral services took place at Riverside Memorial Chapels in North Miami Beach, FL. Friday January 17th, 2020 and Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, New Port Richey, FL. Saturday January 18th, 2020.
