

Gisa Krendel Perez (Luisa), 98 years old of Pembroke Pines, FL. Gisa was born in Sirvintal, Lithuania and raised since age 2 in Havana, Cuba. She came to New York City in 1944 as a certified Diamond cutter and worked in the NYC diamond district, cutting diamonds for the US war effort. Gisa arrived in Miami, FL in 1948 with her husband Robert Perez, World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army.
Gisa is survived by her younger sister Celia Krendel Malavsky;
Her loving children, Paula (Alan) Edelstein, Colman (Candi) Perez, Harriet (Steven) Pomerantz;
Cherished Grandchildren: Eric Edelstein, Lara (Jason) Zamajtuk, Vanessa and Jarred Perez, Jason and Marc Pomerantz;
Dearest Great Grandchildren:
Logan Edelstein, Kyle and Kayla Zamajtuk, Vincent McClellan, and Jeremy, Jordan and Noah Pomerantz.

A chapel service for Gisa will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 12:30 PM at Riverside Gordon 17250 W Dixie Highway N Miami Beach, FL 33160 and A graveside service will occur from 2:00 PM at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, 1125 NW 137 Street Miami, FL 33168. A shiva will occur Wednesday, August 25, 2021 immediately following burial and Thursday, August 26, 2021 to Tuesday August 31.
