Heidi will always be loved and missed. She was a uniquely warm light in a cold world and I have always been thankful for the blessings of her friendship and wisdom.
We were classmates but lost touch afterwards. I am comforted to know that she experienced the joys of children and grandchildren.
I pray for the family's comfort and for faith that is able to overcome the grief of her passing with hope in a joyful reunion.
I also want to thank Alicorn and Doretta for their memories that confirmed this was my friend.

To Sarah  & Peter ~ My sincere expression of sadness and condolences to you and your family. I knew Heidi when she was  vibrant, talented and endlessly inquisitive about the world, art, music, religion and the many people she knew. She was a beautiful young woman with a thirst for learning. It led her to take courses whenever she could afford them and check out innumerable books from the library, which she would consult on every subject, from anthropology to zoology. I still remember a garret apartment she rented, cluttered with books, masses of houseplants, original artwork and her beloved Yamaha upright. As you know, she was a talented pianist and had taken up studies in the harpsichord (she adored Wanda Landowska) when I knew her. She had a remarkable, brilliant musicality and a winning smile and laugh that percolated out of that sometimes dark sense of humor. I loved your mom --- she was a loyal friend, deeply perceptive, forgiving and generous of heart. She loved both of you and her grandchildren more than anything in the world. You were truly her proudest moment.  I am so very sorry that I could not have been there for her in her darkest time, a better friend, a stronger presence, but that is a typical failure of the human heart. My heart has often broken for her; now I'm sure she's at rest. I have missed her for many years; I'll always miss her as I know you will. Love, Doretta
