I met Henry, my cousin,  as a young teenager, when I visited New York from London.  He was warm and kind. We had lovely talks. Wonderful to hear about his work to unite people of all religions.

Rabino Sobel destacou-se como uma voz firme em defesa dos direitos humanos no Brasil.  Ele foi incansável. 
Quero agradecer ao Rabino Henry Sobel por ter estimulado e fortalecido a tolerância entre pessoas de todos os credos, todas as raças e todas as nacionalidades. Ele usou a sua fala tão  eloquente e sua posição publica para criar laços e fazer uma diferença na vida de tantas pessoas. O Rabino Sobel criou ponte após ponte com o intuito de unir as pessoas em paz. 
Muitíssimo obrigada por tudo que você fez por nos. Você nos fará muita falta. 
Meu mundo ficou menor sem você. 

Rabbi Henry Sobel has passed away. A born  leader, he was a big man with a big personality. 
Rest In Peace beloved rabbi. 
Rabbi Henry Sobel stood out as a firm voice defending Human Rights in Brazil. He was tireless. 
I wish to thank Rabbi Henry Sobel for having stimulated and strengthened tolerance among people from all walks of life, faiths, races and nationalities. He used his eloquence and public position to create bonds and make a difference in so many lives. Rabbi Sobel built bridge after bridge to help unite people in peace. Thank you so very much for all that you did for us. You will be greatly missed.

Sobel was always present at my childhood as a closer friend of my mother and grandmother. He was always there to help and support them. He will be missed!!! I wish the best for his family...
