On behalf of me, my wife and family here in Chicago, we want to express our deepest condolences and sympathies to the family of my friend from way way back in the day, Hosea Ferguson. I have many memories of spending time with Hosea back in the Hawksbill days. Playing basketball, dominoes and just hanging out up at Catholic High School.  We played together during the week, then we worshiped together on the weekends. He was truly a gentleman in every way and a good friend. Every time I came home to visit I would see him as always worshiping on Sabbath and we always greeted each other with the admiration of knowing each other from such an early age. I truly will miss seeing Hosea when i come back home now but I thank God for the time and the privilege to have known him and the bond we had. Sleep well my friend!♥️🙏🏾

It saddens my heart to know that my good friend and brother in Christ is now asleep waiting for Jesus return. But I am not crying or grieving as one without hope. I know he knew the Lord. We grew up together in church, going to AY and Pathfinders. Things were different back then, we had true fellowship. Our families were some of the original SDA families in Grand Bahama and that was how we lived “like family” I will miss you my brother.
I extend my condolences to Myra, Anya and Shazarah & Terrell. Death was not part of God’s plan so we will always feel its sting. We can never be ready for it, I pray that God will wrap His comforting arms around you as you deal with the separation death brings. Our family will continue to pray for your family.

My condolences to Mrs. Ferguson and Hose's whole family. I know Hose from playing Doninoes by Pauly on Columbus Drive. N in the Bazaar by the taxi stand. He was always a fair n just person. Very nice n always a listening ear. Though it's been some time I had seen him when he came in the gas station I was so excited to see him we talked n talked for about an hour. He will be missed.

I will miss the beautiful tenor voice that rang out when he sang with the choir. I always credited Tony as the singer in the family until I distinctly heard Hosea one day. It was truly my pleasure to listen to him sing. To Myra, Anya and Shazarah, I pray for the Lord's comfort and peace as you face this great and sudden loss. To the brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews and cousins and all the family: May the extraordinary and everlasting arms of the Lord buoy you up in His strength. Take comfort that although Hosea is now asleep, we have a great hope in Jesus Christ; and if we prove faithful, we shall all meet again on that great getting up morning! Let's all keep our minds and hearts fixed on Jesus until He comes. Love you all, amen 🙏🏽 

When I learned of his passing I was totally blown away. I really wasn't expecting it so soon. Even though, we know we will die, we never get used to it. So ,I say to everyone especially His widow  Myra and daughters Anya and Zara; May The Almighty Comforter Jesus Christ, Comfort each of you at this time as only He Truly Can do. Be encouraged, God Speed and lots of love 💕.

My heartfelt condolences go out to a gentleman whom I have known since my childhood years at the Freeport Seventh-day Adventist church and through his interactions at the Ministry of Tourism. I was fortunate enough to collaborate with him on several tourism related projects at the Ministry of Tourism. Throughout our interactions, he consistently exuded a sense of professionalism and maintained a genuinely humble disposition. I cherish memories of him at church, where his presence left a lasting impression on me. His remarkable depth of knowledge and his ability to elucidate the teachings during Sabbath School sessions never ceased to amaze me. As we collectively grieve this loss, my thoughts and prayers will remain with the entire family. He will be greatly missed.  However, I am confident in knowing that when the trumpet sounds on that glorious day of resurrection, we will once again be graced by the warm smile of Mr. Ferguson.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Hosea.  I pray that you will all experience the comforting hands of the Lord as you go through this dark moment in time.  But we morn with hope knowing that this is not the end of the story, as Jesus will return  to take His faithful people home. Until then….: Let us all continue trust Him.

I didn’t understand the meaning of it at the time, but now as a busy mom of 3, I understand the value of time.
In my early 20’s I would plan group trips to Freeport with friends. They were normally short weekend trips. I would always let family members know I was coming, but without transportation, I wouldn’t be able to visit. Uncle Hosea would come to the resorts to make sure I was settled and okay.  He didn’t have to do this, but it meant the world  to know that he wanted to do this. 

On behalf of my family and I, we would wish to extend our sincerest condolences to our neighbour Myra and her family on the passing of Hosea.  I will miss our many backyard over the fence convo on various topics from local news, world news, gardening and life challenges. Hosea, was always a good neighbour, soft spoken and humble. May his soul rest in peace and rise in glory.  May God grant his family comfort during their hour of bereavement.

I wish to extend profound condolences to the Ferguson family, on behalf of my family and the EMRHS Reunion Group Classes of 1979, 1980 and 1981.  Although, I became acquainted with Hosea for such a short time during our high school reunion events last year; his kind demeanor and warm smile has truly left a lasting effect on my life.  A few of our group members rode on his bus during our first walkathon.  Then he graciously provided his Elite service for our fun day at Viva Club Fortuna.
