September 8, 1935 – September 13, 2025
Ileen Littenberg-Abramson-Stewart, 90, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away gracefully at home on September 13, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 8, 1935, Ileen was a rare gem—soft-hearted, gracious, and radiant, a true salt-of-the-earth treasure whose love shaped everyone she met.
She was predeceased by her cherished parents, Sanford and Eleanor Littenberg; her brother, Fredrick Littenberg; her beloved first husband of 35 years, Bernard (“Buddy”) Abramson; her second husband, Robert Stewart; and her children Alan and Doris Abramson.
Ileen’s greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly survived by her devoted daughter Wendy Abramson; her son Marty Abramson; her adored grandchildren Joshua (“golden boy”), Mathew, David Abramson and Tessa Steele; great-grandchildren Dylan and Aiden Abramson; and her beloved nieces Jaye Roth and Joy Aldridge.
A woman of quiet strength and endless generosity, Ileen was the heart of every gathering—whether cooking a feast, playing cards with the girls, or sharing laughter with neighbors who became lifelong friends/family on the fourth floor of Garfield in Century Village. She delighted in music, theater, travel, needlepoint and crochet, and spent her career serving others as a medical administrator and later as a compassionate ombudsman in Broward County’s rehabilitation and assisted-living facilities.
Ileen’s long and beautiful life was marked by resilience, devotion, and a love that will continue to shine through the lives of those she touched. May her memory always be a blessing, a soft blue diamond in the hearts of all who knew her.
