My boy Johnny I think about u time to time I met u in 6 grade I was like who this eminem em looking white boy but u  was cool af we always talked and had a good friendship , when I think about my middle school days I always think of you brodi get your rest

I’m at a loss for words.  Although we never found time to reconnect as adults, I will always cherish the moments we had as young, wild youth. Many of my fondest memories were with you by my side riding scooters in the wind, building bike ramps in the alleyways, crab hunting in Greynolds, setting up fight clubs, and hiding out from Brian and your brother. Although we’ve both grown from our childhood antics I can’t help but think back to those times. 

A part of me thought I’d be able to tell you in person, but I have a son now. His name is Cai. He’s 16 months. I considered Johnathon as his middle name but I figured that might be weird so it’s Jordan instead. When he’s older I’ll be sure to tell him all about our adventures.

Anyways I love you man, I’m sorry I wasn’t mature enough to tell you that when you were here.

My heart hurts to hear about Jonathan’s passing... I can’t believe it! I had a nice dream about him a few weeks ago, of back than when we were younger, not knowing he had passed.. my condolences to his parents and his brother. I shared a lot of moments with Jonny.. most of them good, happy times. He was a great person in and out, no doubt. Selfless, loving, funny and so much more. He always put others before himself. He always did what he could to help the people around him. Always happy, with that beautiful smile of his! I know I’ll see him again and we’ll joke around how we always did. (R.I.P. I was Jonny's babysitter when I was in high school, and boy, did I earn my money! He had so much energy and personality, he could run you ragged in minutes, but it was all good-hearted curiosity and an eagerness to impress.  The Rizzolos are some of my oldest friends, and my heart is broken over such a loss. I pray for them all to find peace and a "new normal" in time. 

When I think about Johnny I see his happy face with a beautiful smile.  The first time he came into my shop looking for a job - I was a little skeptical thinking "how can this kid know anything about mechanics".  I was totally wrong.  He was a whizz and always wanted to know more and more; he was eager to learn; he was excited to know that one day soon I would be sending him to classes to learn more.  He was loved by all who knew this kind, good spirited young man; I miss him terribly.  He will always be in my heart and my thoughts.  This young man made a huge impression on me and I value each day that I spent with him.
