Reflecting on June Raye Humphrey ‘s journey which she began in Macon Georgia on July 25, 1925, as she became a blessing to her Mother Beulah Middleton and the proud Clyatt family. Her fondest memories were the days that she shared with her granddaddy who affectionately nicknamed her Junebug. As her family traveled to the southern region of Georgia, her impressionable years continued with her education at the former Tift County Industrial Elementary and High School where she graduated and later pursued her dream of moving to Miami, Florida. It was then in the mid 1940’s that she was well on her way to becoming Mrs. June Raye Humphrey, along with planning a family and establishing long lasting friendships. Many influential acts at that time led her to the interest and direction of health care, by then becoming a permanent resident of Miami (which she always pronounced Miama). Her fascination and gift for being in touch with the finest elements of life and the world, cultivated her to the aspects of her devotional love for children and babies. Her gift was so obvious to everyone around her, it was soon afterwards that she acquired the name that would follow her to this day….Mama June. The name became affixed into her every being along with the love that she demonstrated with her babies, parents, family and friends. Such sweet memories were attached to her soul as she began her lasting journey on the morning of the 12th day of June , 2016.
