

Lee was born on June 14,1932 in Oyster Bay, NY to Charles and Stella Gilman. Shortly after the family moved to Union, NJ in 1949, she met Al Korfin, and they were married in 1953. They had three children and enjoyed 37 years of marriage before his untimely death in 1990. The family lived in Elizabeth, Plainfield and Middlesex, NJ and then in Allentown, PA prior to their move to South Florida in 1974, where Lee resided in Aventura, Pembroke Pines and in Hollywood. While living in NJ and PA, Lee was very involved in various Jewish organizations including Haddasah, ORT and her synagogues. She was an expert knitter and taught classes. She pursued a career in banking, and worked at Safra Bank in Miami for many years. When she retired in 1997 she learned to use a computer and went on to be treasurer of the computer club and an email tutor at Century Village in Pembroke Pines. She was an avid reader, and for over 20 years she was an usher at the Broward County Performing Arts Center.
In addition to her husband Al, Lee was predeceased by her parents Stella and Charlie Gilman, her brother Saul Gilman and her son David Korfin.
She is survived by daughter Beverly (Andrea Finn) and son Steven (Liz),
grandchildren Ali Korfin, Lisa Yanowitz (Andrew) Ali Black (Corey), Zachary Korfin and Katie Korfin, and great grandchildren Ethan, Emma, Ellie and Riley.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 23, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel, 17250 W. Dixie Highway N. Miami Beach, 33162, with internment to follow at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25th Street, Miami 33172.
