Melissa was a resident of Miami Gardens, Florida.

She is survived by her father, Isaac Muhtar, her mother, Glenda Muhtar, and her sisters, Shanna Lastra and Deborah Rosen.

A graveside service was held on October 6, 2025, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm at Lakeside Memorial Park, located at 10301 NW 25th Street, Miami, FL 33172.
