Morton Nashman, loving and beloved husband, father, uncle, and grandfather passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on February 16, 2026, at age 94. He was born in NYC and graduated from City College of NY in 1953 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and from Stephens Institute, New Jersey with an M.S. in Engineering Science. He worked in New York, New Jersey and later Maryland as a mechanical engineer for ITT, Ingersoll Rand, IBM, and Lockheed Martin, working on defense contracts, aircraft manufacturing, and traffic control systems. He retired to Aventura, Florida in 2007 where he enjoyed the weather and Florida lifestyle. He also served on the Board of his condominium for 18 years, one year as President, where he always made himself available. He was smart, inventive, and creative, designing fun and useful gadgets for the house. He was kind and gentle, had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile for everyone. He suffered from a bad back and ultimately became bedbound. Nonetheless, he maintained his optimism despite having spent 3-1/2 years in bed. He had the good fortune of having a sharp mind, which he maintained until the end. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Eva, three daughters and their husbands (Jodi and Dan, Rachelle and Hal, and Sherry and Mark), six grandchildren (Lindsay, David, Alison, Rebecca, Jadyn, Nathan), sister-in-law (Honey) and three nieces (Jessica, Pamela, Stephanie) and their husbands (Jed and Adam). His beloved older brother, Alvin, passed away in 2019.
