RUDOLPH, MURIEL NEUFELD, deeply touched the lives of everyone she met. Always caring more about others than she did about herself, Muriel built a loving family and network of friends that will dearly miss her, and never forget her. Muriel epitomized the utmost in style, grace, warmth, and charm. A groundbreaking South Florida interior designer, Muriel helped shape the design industry throughout the Florida Gold Coast. Born in Chicago in 1924, Muriel grew up on Miami Beach and graduated from Miami Beach Senior High and the University of Miami. She and her husband, Sidney, moved their family from Pittsburgh to Miami Beach in 1957, where they became deeply involved in the philanthropic community. Muriel was a tireless supporter and fundraiser for the Miami Jewish Home And Hospital, and a longtime founder at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Muriel is survived by her three children, Judi Male, Richard (Kimiko) Rudolph, and Doug (Nina) Rudolph, as well as grand-children Marc Rudolph, Maya Rudolph (Paul Thomas Anderson), John (Megan) Male, Lauren (Michael) Crandall, Alex Rudolph, Sabrina Rudolph, and eight great-grandchildren. Muriel was predeceased by her loving husband Sidney. Muriel is also survived by longtime companion Herb Stein, and many of her extended family members and loving friends. Services will be held Friday, April 24th at 10:30am at Temple Israel, 137 NE 19th Street in Miami. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Miami Jewish Home and Hospital.
