Rosa and family,
I am so sad to have only today learned of Peter’s passing over 2 years ago.   I am sorry for your loss, and grateful to have known him.   My prayers and blessings go out to you,  Rosa, and to your children.  In the late 1980s I worked with Peter for several years at Paine Webber.   I so enjoyed his gentle toughness, his honesty, his wonderful laugh and sense of humor, and his kind and caring presence.  He was so proud of Tzivia and Jeffrey, and so loving whenever he spoke of Rosa.   Though we had not communicated with each other for many years, I have thought of him often, and am glad to have known him as a friend.

I visited Peter several times when I traveled to Florida for Park University.  The most recent Park alumni magazine noted his death, and I was sorry that I didn't know earlier.  He was an interesting and engaging person with a good sense of humor and a breadth of knowledge that enabled him to talk about anything.  He reminisced about his college days and meeting Rosa and his long-time friends at Park.  That part of his life held a special place for him, but it was obvious that he enjoyed all the times of his life and especially loved his children and grandchildren.   And of course after that, he loved betting on the horses.  I was honored to meet him and I'm so sorry that he couldn't have enjoyed a longer time with us.  My condolences to the Stein family.

we had good times and many laughs at Park College  in 1961  with Rosa and pals; a few years later with kids Jeff and Tzivia.

I recall our driving back to NYC ..& eating Chinese at 10 Mott St (it cost  $ a buck!). And a speeding ticket you got on Westside Dr 
Parkville was good to you. And you did good for Parkville.
We never opened that NY  Deli..or my jazz joint. Alas a regret.

America has changed vastly in just our brief excursion . There is   No great new music. No friends . we fade..as a joni mitchell song. 
You once told me I was mightier, but you were meatier. So funny!
Farewell friend. Mahler's 2nd plays in my head( big trumpets)!  
I still have the invite to Tzivia's  wedding. Thanks .

We moved to KC/Parkville in 1971. Our children, Richard and Tracie went to school with Jeff and Tzivia. Peter coached Flag Football and all 4 children played many sports and shared many school activities together. We truly thought the world of this family. Marsha worked with Rosa at Park Hill High School for many years. Our deepest sympathy, love and prayers to Rosa, Jeff, Tzivia and families. 

I met Peter and Rosa when I moved into 'Sunset' at the age of 20. I remember moving in that day. Tzvia was sitting on the front steps. She was 2 & I was in awe of her adorableness. We were next door apartment neighbors for a few years and have been friends ever since. Their friends became our friends. We all had great times together and share many wonderful memories. I remember us playing cards one evening in the Steins apartment. Our good friend Lester was sitting across from me trying to guess every card I drew from the deck. Somehow, he got them all right. Turns out, Peter was sitting behind me mouthing every number & suit of every card I drew. Peter also introduced me to my very best lifelong friend Rebecca, and for that, I am forever grateful. The Stein Family will always hold a very special place in our hearts. I am truly sorry for their loss. With Love from KC, Chrissy & John. 

When I was 13, Peter T brought me into his life and treated me like family.  Rosa and Peter became my dearest friends and mentors.  Jeff was two and Tzivia came along later and they became my "baby" siblings.  We had so much fun together!  I have so many happy and loving memories of our friendship.  You are loved and you will be missed.

Dear family members of Peter ,
My deepest empathy and condolence on the passing our Peter, whom I considered "the Best" . During this past year I visited Peter more than I ever did in the 65 years I knew him. As I child he was the " older cousin" and my make believe "Big Brother". As a Doctor, he was a living miracle. As a friend he was a grateful person who took all the challenges life has to offer, good and those that might appear bad.  He was a " Natural' and a "Supernatural".  Peter lived more than twice. He was born on 10/8 which together add up to 18, CHAI or 'Life". Yes it was in 1944 ( 1+9+4+4=18) another CHAI allusion. He left on on the 18th as well in the 18th year of the current Millennium. Of Course, G-d chose to take him on the holiest day of the week, the Sabbath, a day when Heaven comes down to Earth. Peter may not be here in body, but Peter will always be here as far as I am concerned. To his wife, sister, children and grandchildren, know you had the Best and still do, just think of him always and call to him. I love you Peter.- Cousin Reynold
