

9th, 2026 at Emory Decatur Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. She was born on Friday, April 6th,
1928 in Boston, Massachusetts to Nathan and Matilda Krozy. Phyllis graduated from Mary
Brooks School in 1946 with a diploma in General Business Secretarial work. In 1951, she
moved to Florida and met her first husband, James Annacone. It was there that she realized the
love for Florida living. James & Phyllis had their only daughter, Lynda, in June of 1951 in
Boston.
After raising Lynda, she moved back to Florida and married her second husband, Melvin
Kahn, in 1969. Melvin started a holiday travel and marketing business and Phyllis was licensed
as a travel agent thus igniting her passion for traveling to many exciting places. Throughout her
life, Phyllis boarded over 60 cruise ships and filled over 5 passports.
Phyllis loved to be surrounded by friends and seemed to find them wherever she went.
She loved dining out and dancing and was always the life of the party. She charmed everyone
she met with her beauty, wit and humor. Later in life, she met Sam, her soulmate. They truly
completed each other and their love radiated whenever they were together. When they dined
out, they would dance together and glide across the floor in perfect harmony.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Lynda Bunnell, two granddaughters, Jennifer Holmes
(Ben) and Melissa Davis (Ken) and five great grandchildren, Vanessa & Tyler Holmes, Lacy,
Wade, & Elle Davis.She is also survived by her nephew, Neil (Anne) Schneider & niece, Robin
Schneider.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Nathan and Matilda (Satter) Krozy and her
sister Rhoda Schneider. Phyllis’s life was always anchored by the men she was with and she
was preceded in death by first husband, James Annacone (1974), second husband, Melvin
Kahn (1996) and her beloved partner Samual Taryn (2009).
She was laid to rest next to Melvin at Shalom Memorial Gardens in North Miami Beach
