

Salzman, Phyllis “Fifi” Shulman, 83 years
Born in Syracuse, New York on November 30, 1939, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2023 in Miami, Florida.
Phyllis was a very kind, loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She valued time with family and friends over everything else. She was an avid sports fan, especially for her Syracuse University Alma Mater basketball team. She loved playing golf, taking long walks and especially socializing with her family and friends. Phyllis taught elementary school at Everglades Elementary in Miami, volunteered for the historical Society of Miami, and was an administrator at the Miami Children’s Museum for many years.
Phyllis is survived by her sister, Linda (Irwin) Potash, brother, Norman (Carol) Shulman, daughters, Janet Salzman, Julie (Joey) Gale and Joni (Jeff) Futernick, stepchildren, Susan (Carey) Weisler, and Steven Salzman, and her 10 grandchildren, Joel, Michael, Lea, Sydney, Jake, Dylan, Hayley, Joely, Aaron, and Sam and all who knew and loved her.

An indoor chapel with burial following for Phyllis will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lakeside Memorial Park , 10301 NW 25th Street, Miami, FL 33172.
