In the year of 1960, there was a girl and a boy that met in the candy shop. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8UKf65NOzM). As Mammy would say get the picture!? With that love came three wonderful people Alisa who is caring, driven, and well organized. Maria who kindhearted, compassionate, and nurturing. Robby/Bobby who is someone to lean on, a shoulder to cry on, and someone who you can have a good laugh with.
Mammy was a sassy, feminist, driven, and the leader of this family. She was always there when we needed her good and bad times. She taught me to be a feminist and would always say I am woman hear me roar. Every time she said that I thought of Katy Perry Roar because that was the message Mammy was trying to tell me.
