Roslyn Rene Winn

Roslyn Workman Winn, born November 23, 1924, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025 at the age of 100 in Tallahassee, FL. She was born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY to Meyer & Estelle Workman with her late sisters: Beulah, Norma and late brother Herbert. Last November, she celebrated her centennial in Tallahassee, surrounded by four generations of family who gathered from across the country to honor this remarkable milestone.

She married her teenage “sweetheart” the late Senator Sherman S. Winn, beloved husband of 64 years in 1956 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. They moved to Miami, FL in 1956 where they raised 4 children: Stephen, Jacqueline, Susan and Patricia. Roslyn attended Ohio State University and was a real estate broker in Bal Harbor, FL for over 40 years.

Alongside her husband, she was active in civic, charitable, religious and political activities and was a founding member of Temple Beth Moshe in North Miami, FL.

Roslyn was preceded in death by her parents, Meyer & Estelle Workman; her husband, Senator Sherman S. Winn; daughters Patricia Lee Winn, Jacqueline "Jackie" Friedman, and Susan Winn Cypen; grandchildren Jodie and Matthew Huberman; and nephew Hank Luckower.

She is survived by her son, Stephen R. Winn (Judy) of Tallahassee; 6 grandchildren Michelle Winn Larson (Brad); Leslie Winn Sokol; Jason Winn (Laura) of Tallahassee, FL; Adam Ehrlich (Cathleen) of Roseville, CA: Ethan Ehrlich (Carolina) of Davis, CA and 14 great-grandchildren: Maiya, Sander, Kate & Lawson Sokol; John Knight, AJ & Henry Winn; Michael Huberman; Sarah & Ellie Ehrlich; Sebastian & KayKay Ehrlich; and Ayden & Roen Larson.

May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her. She will be missed greatly by family, friends, loved ones and the many lives she so positively affected.
