I miss cousin Simon very much. We used to talk to each other frequently and communicated on Whats app from time to time. When I traveled to Cuba he gave me the addresses of where our family lived so I was able to see these places in person. He was also the keeper of our families genealogy and the glue to the family as well. Whenever I visited Florida he was always there for me. He would pick me up at the airport and take me to see everyone. My parents also loved visiting the family in Florida as well. The entire Florida family  was always so welcoming.  Love to the Grosfeld and Kopel families. I am thinking of you all. 

Simon, you are very much missed by myself and all of your California cousins.

I worked for Simon when I was right out of high school, in 1979. Simone Segal was a fine human being. He was very kind and honest. I worked in his office, and I assisted his parents, when they were frail. 

He was a very good son, and his parents, who were beautiful people too. Simon was also incredibly intelligent, and witty. He taught me much about his experience of growing up in Cuba, which is my heritage. He understood our ways so well.  


We spoke throughout the years. I was blessed to have spoken to him  in May.  He  was a mentor in my life, and I wish my condolences to his family, and friends.
