I remember visiting Maddy and Steve in Chicago and going to Navy Pier and seeing one of the first 3D IMAX movies as a kid.

My best memory of Steve was when he convinced me to wear a tux at my sister’s wedding so I could push my disabled dad down the isles with my sister. Apparently I missed some of the subtext in the conversation with my sister about wearing a suit vs a tux.

He was an amazing man. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Steven was a supportive colleague in my school districts who could connect with staff, parents and students. His knowledge of his craft and warm personality made him an invaluable team member.

Personally, he always asked about my family and shared about his family.

He was a mensch who will be truly missed.

We were saddened to hear the news about Steven,
Such a mentsch! He faced all his health issues with grace , fortitude, and wit. The connection between Lisa and Judith was something special. Judith loved you, Maddy , and Steve. This was due to your warmth, sincerity and love.
There is never enough time, but when we were together it was something special.
We are here for you.

In remembrance of a wonderful human being,
Lois and Tom

I remember Steve's broad smile. I remember his joy. Maddy's and Lisa's eulogies show clearly he was also so much more. He was a mensch. He was special.

Steven was in my life for more than 63 year. Throughout those years, both he and Maddie have remained constant and cherished family members. We knew that family was more than DNA. We remained family because that was our agreement. My heart is heavy today with the loss of a cherished friend.
