

Bernadette spent most of her career working at a restaurant, where she shared her warmth and culinary skills with countless patrons. In 2012, at the age of 65, she made the journey from Haiti to Miami, Florida, to live with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Six years later, she proudly became a citizen of the United States.
Throughout her life, Bernadette faced health challenges, having battled diabetes since her late twenties. Despite this, she remained resilient and continued to embrace life with grace and kindness.
Bernadette was known for her quiet strength and gentle demeanor. Her family and friends remember her as a beautiful soul who always put others before herself. She had a deep love for her family and took joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
Bernadette is preceded in death by her daughter Marie Marcie Louis, Brother Nordieu and Fertil Bataille, Nieces Marie, Elianise, Jacqueline, , Marie-Marte, Betty Bataille, and Jeanide Louis.
Her Nephew Luc Bataille, Richmond and Walker Louis, and granddaughter Natasha Motley.
Bernadette's memory will be cherished by her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever live on in their hearts.

Nephews Erlinka Louis, Dieu Bon, Francois (Mekenderlie and Junior), and Emmanuel Bataille (Valentine, Shelove, Ruth-mana, Lousena, Pedro, and Lourvelie Bataille and Emmadyahie Selphin. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever live on in their hearts.
