Elisha "Ike" Lovett Jr.

Elisha “Ike” Lovett, Jr. was born in Miami, Florida, on September 2, 1954, to the late Elisha Lovett, Sr. and Gloria Williams. He was the only boy among five sisters.

Elisha received his education through the Miami-Dade County Public School system. After attending Miami Edison Senior High School, he enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country. Following his military service, he worked as a distributor for Southern Wines. He later became a tour bus driver and eventually a Patient Transport Specialist for Specialty Medical. No matter the job, Elisha was known for going above and beyond, touching the lives of those he served with kindness, dedication, and humor.

Elisha had a lifelong passion for music and spent countless hours at the Swap Shop searching for records and discovering new sounds. He loved being surrounded by people and found joy in bringing them together. Whether hosting weekend barbecues, fish fries, or spontaneous gatherings, Elisha made every moment feel like a celebration.

After a long battle with various health complications, the Lord called him home. On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Elisha took his final breath and entered into eternal rest.

Mr. Lovett is preceded in death by parents Elisha Lovett, Sr. and Gloria Williams, Siblings: Shirley Hudson, Sharon Lovett, Loryse Johnson, children: Bernard Johnson and Anthony Lovett.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. He will eternally leave a void in the hearts of Christopher Lovett (son) and Sherece Nelson (daughter). He is also survived by six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who will forever ch

A visitation will be held on November 21, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Caballero Rivero Southern Funeral Home, Peace Venue, located at 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, FL 33181.

The Celebration of Life is scheduled to follow at 12:00 pm at the same venue.

The final place of rest will be at Caballero Rivero Dade North Memorial Park, 1301 NW Opa Locka Blvd, Miami, FL 33167, on November 21, 2025.
