I am Elva's first born, Nancy. Even though she was never there when I was growing up and abandoned me through life, I still held respect for my birth mother, Elva. I am the only sibling that actually came out with her big eyes. I am glad to say that I am successful now traveling the world with my Greek husband and wished I could have told her of my travels and adventures in Europe. I missed her dearly since she lived on 193rd Street. Wish I could have let her hear my voice but my family didn't assist. God bless her and now I can say she is in peace, finally!

Sending love and light to Aaron, Andy, and Elizabeth. Her funny feisty spirit lives on in each of you and your children.

Elva and I spoke to each other sporadically throughout the years prior to her passing. She would call mom’s house and I would pick up the phone, and man she would talk my head off!!!

The last phone conversation I had with her was when she called me two years ago to ask how mom was doing because she had not heard from mom. We spoke for two plus hours going back and forth from topic to topic. I treasure those quirky talks. 🤗

I still remember when I was 12 and she chopped all my hair off to this tiny Afro OMG I almost died from embarrassment lolol and she also gave me my first ear piercing (with the ice cube) in cold blood.
looooooool Love her so damn much.

She’s up there having hugs and lots of gossip with mom, Elsie, Dorothy, and my beautiful long lost abuelita.

My only wish was that I could have seen her more. The gift I received from her was her conversation, and her unconditional love. May she rest in paradise.

With love eternal,
Marilyn

My heart and prayers go out to Aaron, Andy, and Lizzie. We just went through this last year when we buried my mom the youngest of the Toro sisters . So sorry to hear Elva has left us but is now reunited with all of her sisters.
Last time I saw Elva was at my mom's burial and so many years have definitely gone by before that.
I have fond memories of Titi when I was a teen as she was always ready with a smile on her face and quick with her wit.
May Titi rest in eternal peace. God bless her always.
Love,
Sylvia
