Eugenia Louidor (Louis-Jean) was born on June 1, 1943 in Saint-Louis-Du-Nord, Haiti to the parents of Duquesne Louidor and Crisalia Filion. She was born the 2nd oldest to her parents, and was the apple of their eyes. As a child, she completed her grade school at St. Agnes School for girls. Her favorite past time as a child was hanging with her brothers, sister, and other family members. At a very early age, she took great pride in being the matriarch of her family and taking care of her siblings.
In 1973, she migrated to the United States and settled in Miami, Florida. She came in search of a better life and to fulfill the American dream. She attended Central Baptist Church where she grew a deep love for God. In 1974, she met Armand Louis-Jean at the church and they married on December 22, 1975. Her and Armand had a deep desire to build a large family. They had 4 children, Robert Louis-Jean, Stevens Louis-Jean, Kartia Louis-Jean and Renal Louis-Jean.
As she transitioned through wifehood and motherhood, she worked as a housekeeper at The Marriott International Hotels for over 25 years. She received honors as employee of the month several times. She enjoyed going to work and laughing with her co-workers. She took great pride in the work she did at the Marriott and never missed a day.
Eugenia was an outstanding wife, mother, aunt and sibling. She took great pride in caring for her family at the highest level. She nurtured her family with a beautiful home and daily hot cooked meals. She served her husband with care, love and joy at all times for the last 45 years. She loved making sure her children were well cared for and supported all of their achievements in grade school, college and their careers. She also opened her home to many family members, nephews, and treated them as her own children. Her family was her pride and joy. Eugenia took pride being a stylish woman. She was a woman of class and dignity. Her smile and laughter would brighten up any room. She leaves a legacy that will be difficult to fill; however, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family members forever.
