George Mandes (Mandarakas) 83 of North Miami Beach, formerly of Harrison, NJ. Beloved Husband of Anna (nee Carnegis) of 63 years. Will be missed by daughters Marie Prokos, Christine Bzdek and Georgia Mandes. Beloved grandfather to Anna and Irene Prokos, and Louis Bzdek. Great- Grandfather to Zachary, Christopher, William and Nicko Kontakis, and Kayla Rashid and William McSorley. George has many brothers and sisters both in New Jersey and Greece that will surely miss him. George was a business owner in New Jersey of various restaurants and after moving to Florida 29 years ago he continued his profession as a chef. His sense of humor, strength and love will be remembered by all.
The funeral will be at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in North Miami Beach – Wednesday, July 20th 11:00 and procession to Southern Memorial Cemetery will follow. A Donation in his name may be made to The Annuniciation Greek Orthodox Church.
