
Dr. Jon L. Rauch, a lifelong resident of Miami Beach, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, respected endodontist, veteran, public servant, and true gentleman whose kindness touched everyone who knew him.
Born and raised in Miami Beach, Dr. Rauch graduated from Miami Beach Senior High School in 1958. He went on to attend the University of Florida for his undergraduate studies, earned his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and completed his specialty training in Endodontics at Boston University.
A proud veteran, Dr. Rauch dedicated his life to service - both to his country and to his community. For more than 50 years, he practiced as an endodontist, earning the admiration and trust of generations of patients and colleagues. Known for his gentle demeanor, compassion, and calming presence, he brought comfort to countless people throughout his remarkable career. To many, he was far more than a doctor; he was a caring friend and trusted confidant.
Dr. Rauch also devoted nearly two decades to public service as a councilman for Bay Harbor Islands, where he worked tirelessly to support and improve the community he loved so deeply. His integrity, thoughtfulness, and dedication earned him the respect and appreciation of residents and fellow officials alike.
Above all else, he was devoted to his family. He shared a loving marriage with his wife, Cyndi, and together they built a beautiful life centered around love, laughter, and family traditions. He was the proud father of four children and cherished grandfather of nine grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Dr. Jon L. Rauch will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering kindness. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and welcome, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched personally, professionally, and through his public service.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, patients, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of life will be held privately by the family.
