

County, Georgia. He completed his education at Staley High School in Americus, Georgia. He met and
married Daisy Crumbley, his high school sweetheart, in 1943. They were married for seventy-six and
a half years and they had nine beautiful children. Six boys, and Three girls: Mary Wil-liams
(Leroy), Joseph Jr., Diann, Ronald Sr. (Faye), Lawrence, Cheryl
Jones (Curtis), and Grover. He is preceded in death by Clifford, Jeffrey, Cheryl, and Lawrence.
The couple was blessed with 14 wonderful grandchildren: Ronald Jr., Joanna, Gregory, Adrienne,
William, Lisa, Cherylen, Terrence, Alan, David, Daniel, An-drea, Jonathan, and Alicia. God has also
blessed Joseph Sr. and Daisy with 26 great grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren.
Joe joined Trinity CME Church in 1946. He served dutifully on every board in the church at one time
or another, but he is most well-known as a faithful Stew-ard and dedicated Lay Leader .
Joseph was also an upstanding member of his community. He was once Wor-shipful Master of his local
Masonic Lodge. He was a role model to countless young men who thank him to this day for his
guidance.
He valued God and Family as his heart and his love and generosity will be
greatly missed.
