

Joseph Edward Gaschler, age 91, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026. Born on September 21, 1934, Joseph lived a long and adventurous life defined by his love of the sea and devotion to his family.
A skilled boat captain, Joseph spent countless years navigating the waters he cherished most, particularly throughout the Caribbean and the Florida Keys.
The ocean was not just his livelihood, but his passion and sanctuary.
He was the beloved husband of his wife, Doris, with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and cherished memories.
Together, they built a life rooted in commitment, exploration, and quiet joy.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Doris; his children and grandchildren; his siblings; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends from the marina community who were like family to him. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his deep connection to the water, and the life he built with those he loved.
His legacy sails on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Southern Funeral Home, Serenity Venue, 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, FL 33181, on April 25, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Caballero Rivero Southern Funeral Home, Serenity Venue, 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, FL 33181, on April 25, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
Final Resting Place will be at Caballero Rivero Southern Memorial Park, 15000 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, FL 33181, on April 25, 2026.
